World vegan day:On November 1st, the vegan community celebrates World Vegan Day with zeal. It is a day to honour the tradition of eating an all-green diet free of dairy and animal products. On World Vegan Day, people are encouraged to live a vegan lifestyle. World Vegan Day was established on November 1, 1994, to commemorate the UK Vegan Society’s golden jubilee and to celebrate the term “vegan.” The Vegan Society was founded in November 1944. The theme for this year is based on the campaign ‘Future Normal.’

HCL’s Shiv Nadar Named Country’s Most Generous Philanthropist :-

Shiv Nadar, the founder of software giant HCL, has been named ‘India’s Most Generous’ by the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2022, with an annual donation of Rs 1,161 crore. Nadar gave Rs 3 crore per day. The 77-year-old tycoon reclaimed the top spot in 2022 after finishing second to Wipro’s Azim Premji last year. Azim Premji of Wipro fell to second place with an annual donation of Rs 484 crore, while Gautam Adani ranked seventh with a donation of Rs 190 crore.

ISRO’s Heaviest Rocket Successfully Places 36 Satellites In Orbit :-

The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) heaviest rocket Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LVM3 or GSLV Mark 3) successfully orbited 36 satellites of the United Kingdom-based OneWeb after taking off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota. This is OneWeb’s 14th launch, bringing the total number of satellites in the constellation to 462. This launch represents more than 70% of the company’s planned 648 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite fleet, which will provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity around the world.

Karnataka Bank is awarded with the prestigious National Digital Transformation Awards ‘DX 2022 Awards’ conferred by Confederation of Indian Industry [CII] for Best Practice in Digital Transformation under BFSI segment in recognition of the “Innovative Excellence” in three categories viz. ‘KBL HR NxT – Employee Engagement’, ‘KBL Operations NxT – Operational Excellence’ and ‘KBL Customer NxT – Customer Experience’. 5th Khelo India Youth Games To Be Held In Madhya Pradesh :-

Madhya Pradesh will host the Fifth Khelo India Youth Games 2022 . The games will be held next year from January 31st to February 11th. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur made the announcement at an event in New Delhi in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Mr Thakur told reporters after the event that the Khelo India Youth Games will be held in eight different locations. According to him, over 8500 athletes and sportspeople are expected to compete in the sporting event.

Punjab Government: Return Of Old Pension Scheme For Its Employees :-

The Punjab government has decided to bring back the old pension plan for its employees. In another decision, the state Cabinet decided to give employees and pensioners a 6% dearness allowance (DA) beginning October 1 this year, according to a statement. The reinstatement of the old pension scheme, which was cancelled in 2004, has been a major demand among state government employees. “We have taken an in-principle decision to this effect in a cabinet meeting. This will benefit lakhs of employees,” Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said.

Nuclear Capable Agni Prime Missile Successfully Tested By India :-

India has successfully ‘testfired’ a new generation nuclear-capable ballistic missile, the Agni Prime, off the coast of Odisha. This is the third test of the Agni Prime missile, a two-stage solid propellant missile with a dual redundant navigation and guidance system. Two missiles were previously tested successfully in June and December of last year. The range of the surface-to-surface ballistic missile is 1000 to 2000 kilometres. The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) designed and developed the nuclear-capable missile.

14th Edition Of World Spice Congress Will Organized In Maharashtra :-

The 14th World Spice Congress will be held at the CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Centre in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, from February 16 to 18, 2023. The World Spice Congress, organised by Spices Board India in collaboration with various trade and export forums, will take place on the eve of India’s G20 presidency. In addition to the business sessions, the WSC event will host an exhibition showcasing the strengths and capabilities of the Indian spice industry. More than 1000 delegates from over 50 countries are expected to attend the 14th WSC.

Mission LIFE Movement Launched By PM Modi At Kevadiya :-

Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, met with UN Secretary-General, H.E. Mr Antonio Guterres, and then launched Mission LiFE at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, Gujarat. The Prime Minister and the Secretary-General of the United Nations also paid floral tributes at the Statue of Unity. Congratulatory video messages on the launch of Mission LiFE were also relayed by the heads of 11 nations representing all regions of the United Nations. Mission Life, unites the people of the earth as pro planet people, uniting them all in their thoughts PM said.

Chandrayaan-3 Set For Launch In August 2023: ISRO Chairman :-

Dr S Somanath, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has stated that the Chandrayaan-3 mission will most likely launch in June of next year. “Chandrayaan-3 is almost ready. Final integration and testing are almost complete. Still, some more tests are pending, so we want to do it a little later. There were two slots available one in February and another in June. We would like to take June (2023) slot for the launch,” ISRO Chairman said. The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a follow-up of the Chandrayaan-2 of July 2019. The mission aimed to land a rover on the moon’s South Pole but failed.
