India And Japan Signed An MoU To Develop Scientific Collaboration For Indian Ayurveda:-

The All India Institute of Ayurveda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  with Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). The MoU is intended to foster capacity development and technological cooperation in academic institutions. The MoU will allow both countries to advance scientific cooperation and capacity building in the Indian Ayurvedic system of traditional medicine. All of these initiatives will be carried out with the assistance of the Ayush Ministry.


India Hosts SCO Joint Anti-Terror Drill To Enhance Operational Capabilities:-

The week-long multinational joint anti-terror exercise “Manesar Anti-Terror 2022” concluded at the National Security Guard (NSG) Manesar Garrison as part of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS).“Representatives from the counter-terrorism forces of six member countries of the SCO, RATS, including the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russian Federation and the Indian NSG mutually shared their drills, procedures, best practices and other innovative methodologies” official sources said.


Haryana Govt And Dubai Ink An MoU For Economic Cooperation:-

The Haryana government announced that the government of Dubai has finalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with it for cooperation in various economic activities.In a press release the state government said: “Under the terms of the MoU, the Government of Dubai shall identify a suitable entity to assist with identifying the potential areas of collaboration, assessing the viability of projects including conducting legal and financial due diligence, feasibility studies, negotiation and finalization of definitive agreements and support the Govt. of Haryana in identifying potential investors based in UAE.”


Government And Life Insurance Corporation of India LIC To Cooperatively Divest 60.72% Share In IDBI Bank:-

By issuing an Expression of Interest (EoI), the government began the process of selling more than 30% of its stake in IDBI Bank . Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), IDBI’s current promoter, will also sell more than 30% of its stake. As of March 31, 2022, LIC owns 49.24 percent of IDBI Bank, while the government owns 45.48 percent. A private sector bank, a foreign bank, a non-banking financial company (NBFC), an alternative investment fund (AIF), or a fund/investment vehicle incorporated outside India may bid for the bank alone or in consortium.

EU Parliament Approved Adoption Of World’s First Single Charger Rule:-

The European Parliament has approved a new rule that will require mobile phones, tablets, and cameras to have a single charging port by 2024 in the European Union. This action confirms an earlier agreement among EU institutions, making USB-C connectors used by Android-based devices the EU standard, forcing Apple to change its charging port for iPhones and other devices. The change had been discussed for years and was prompted by iPhone and Android users’ complaints about having to switch to different chargers for their devices.


Union Minister Anurag Thakur Inaugurated Water Sports Center In Himachal Pradesh:-

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, inaugurated a Water Sports Center in KoldamBarmana, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) collaborated to establish the Water Sports Centre, the first of its kind in Himachal Pradesh.Sharing how the centre was set up at short notice, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur mentioned, “In just one month’s time, the water sports arrangements have been done and I want to thank SAI and NTPC officials who have made this possible.”


Former Indian Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni Inaugurates CSK Academy:-

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former India captain and captain of the Chennai Super Kings, launched the Super Kings Academy at the MS Dhoni Global School in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The MS Dhoni Global School is India’s first franchise-owned Super Kings Academy. The Super Kings Academy in Hosur is the third of its kind in the country, with eight pitches for practise and a turf-wicket ground for matches. Chennai Super Kings, founded in 2008, are a franchise cricket team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.


Three New Chief Justices For High Courts Of Rajasthan, Karnataka, J-K, And Ladakh:-

Following the recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium, the union government has announced the appointment of three new chief justices in various high courts. Bombay high court judge PB Varale was named chief justice of the Karnataka high court, while Justice Pankaj Mithal, who was chief justice of the J&K and Ladakh high courts until December 2020, was named chief justice of the Rajasthan high court. Justice AM Magrey, a sitting judge of the J&K and Ladakh high court, was elevated as the new chief justice of the same high court.


Indians To Be Able To Pay In Europe Using UPI Soon:-

With the National Payments Corporation of India’s (NPCI) international arm entering into a pact with payments services operator Worldline, Indian travellers to Europe will soon be able to make payments from their Indian bank accounts using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Users will be required to have an Indian bank account with a UPI enabled on their accounts. To make UPI payments, users will also need an app, such as the BHIM app. The service will be available at Worldline’s point-of-sale terminals.


CJI UU Lalit Recommends Justice DY Chandrachud As The Next Chief Justice Of India:-

As his successor, Chief Justice of India U U Lalit recommended to the Centre the name of the senior-most Supreme Court judge, Justice Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud. Justice Chandrachud, who has served on several Constitution benches and delivered landmark Supreme Court decisions, will become the 50th Chief Justice of India on November 9 if the government accepts the recommendation. Justice Chandrachud, who was appointed to the Supreme Court on May 13, 2016, will serve as Chief Justice for two years before retiring on November 10, 2024. Supreme Court justices are required to retire at the age of 65.
